About Troop 42

Troop 42 is a good sized group of boys ranging in ages from 12 to 17. All of us love to participate in Scouting and many boys who have come through the program continue to help out even after reaching the rank of Eagle and or turning 18. We also have many dedicated Scout leaders. Our troop takes pride in Scouting and we try to give scouts as many opportunities as possible to attend many different scouting events. As a troop we have been to the West Point Camporee, Philmont Scout Ranch, Maine High Adventure, and many many more. We have also had some of our scouts attend National Jamboree. Many of the scouts in our troop also choose to attend Summer Camp, where they earn more merit badges and learn more skills for their upcoming scouting year. As you can tell we are a very active troop and we tend to go on a campout or hike at least once a month from September until June, and sometimes we go on a couple a month.
