Summer camp and Maine High Adventure seem to have come and gone without a hitch. Everyone had great times, earned some Merit Badges, and got plenty of sun. Alas, no rest for the weary! Two meetings of which Scouts and Parents should be aware:
(a) Pancake Breakfast Committee meeting - We could use help organizing and then executing on the Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser. If you can, please try to attend this kick off meeting as we line up responsibilities and plan our approach. Tomorrow, Tuesday the 18th, 7pm, at the Church.
(b) Patrol Leader Council Meeting - This Sunday 8/23, 4-7pm at Borderland State Park. This is open to any Scout interested in helping decide the direction the Troop takes this year, and our officers are expected to attend. (SPL/ASPL, Patrol leaders, Assistant Patrol Leaders, Scribe, Webmaster, Buglers, Quartermaster.) There will be food, Frisbee, and decisions to be had: Will October include NH Jamboree, or Squanto Camporee, or something entirely different? Do we want to do another Thanksgiving cook-a-thon in November? If so, where, and what activity do we want? Which Merit Badges do we want to work on? Many more questions will be posed, and hopefully answered. Parents feel free to drop your son off and then come back at 7pm. Please respond back with RSVP by this Wednesday night so we can plan the right amount of food. And yes, all Scouts should be wearing their class-B's.
