Hi Everyone,
A few details regarding this weekend’s campout;
1.)We will be leaving the Church parking lot by 6:30 and heading over to Camp Sayre. Please let me know if you will arriving later in the evening or on Saturday morning.
2.)I am still wondering what the Scouts that left the cook kits at the Church on Monday are going to do…..should be interesting.
3.)Scouts will be sleeping in “lean-to’s”, basically three sided unheated structures, so please plan accordingly. Scouts have the option of sleeping in tents, if they prefer.
4.)On Saturday, the Troop will be heading out for a hike into the Blue Hills around 10:00, so if you are coming Saturday, please try and get there before 10:00, so that we can get off on time.
5.)Scouts should come prepared for the Spring weather….cold and warm, wet and dry, meaning proper layering of clothing, waterproof hiking boots and rain gear. Scouting is Outing, so please be prepared.
6.)Scouts might want to bring a smaller day pack for the hike, to carry extra clothing, snacks, lunch, etc. Scouts should have at least two full size water bottles for the hike.
7.) Scouts should eat dinner on Friday before coming to the Church.
8.) The Troop should be back by 11:00 or so on Sunday, we will meet at the parking lot at the Village Shoppes across from Hillard’s.
9.)Adults….please let me know by return e-mail if you are planning on attending and/or driving. We might need a couple of additional drivers to get us there and back on Sunday.
See everyone on Friday evening.
