Gold Rush

2/16/2011

Hi Everyone,

A few Gold Rush Reminders;

1.)    Looks like we have 19 Scouts attending this year, competing as three patrols, so we will need to get them there. I have the following adults down for driving on Saturday, please let me know if anything has changed.

A.)Mark Jennings – 3 Scouts
B.)Mike Berry – 4 Scouts
C.)Donald Jin – 4 Scouts
D.)Steve Cadmus – 4 Scouts
E.)Joe Ciulla – 4 Scouts

Adults should plan on bringing a lunch, as you never know what our Scouts have planned. J Troop 22 will also have some hot food ready for the adults if needed.
2.)    The Troop will be leaving from the Church around 6:30 AM on Saturday. Scouts should try and have breakfast before they arrive, although we are likely to make a quick stop at Dunkin’s, if we get out on time.

3.)    Scouts should have some spending money, as there are snacks available, and if we are running late, likely that we will stop and get dinner on the ride home.

4.)    Reminder that it is still winter and the Scouts should dress and prepare accordingly. Temperatures will be in the low 30’s with a chance of snow or rain….so be prepared, as Scouting is Outing and this event goes rain or shine.

5.)    Team Leaders should coordinate with Jacob for any last minute items that the Troop will need to provide or questions that might arise between now and then. Remember, Jacob is not a mind reader, as are any of the adults leaders.

6.)    The cost is $10.00/Scout plus the cost of food for your team. Team Leaders will be collecting that amount directly from the Scouts. Please give Mr. Jennings or Mr. Berry the $10.00 for registration and patch.

7.)    We will be dropping the Scouts off at the Church parking lot Saturday evening…likely around 7:00 or so, as we will probably not get out of the event until 5:30 or 6:00.

Looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday….Scouts should remember our little “bet” on this event and try hard to do well and have some fun at the same time.

Please call with any questions.

Y.I.S.
Mr. Jennings
