Hi Everyone,

In working towards our Troop’s New Year Resolution to meet deadlines, I have attached a couple of homework assignments that I hope the Scouts will return on Monday at the Court of Honor, or e-mail back next week, as the following Monday is too late.

1.) Merit Badge University Request Form….Scouts need to fill this form out and pick 12 Merit Badges in order of priority (1 being highest priority and 12 the least desired) Please get these in by next Monday, so that I can meet the required deadline of January 16th. The fee this year is $20.00 and includes three Merit Badge Books. Please note that First Aid is a 2 hour class, therefore and Scouts choosing First Aid will only be working on two Merit Badges. It is expected that this year’s MBU will be bigger and better than last year’s, plus it is being held at Southeastern Regional. Checks can be made payable to Troop 42. Merit Badge University will be held March 5th, 12th and 26th, in the morning.

2.) Pat’s Peak Ski Rental and Medical Forms….Scouts that plan on attending the ski trip January 22 should fill these forms out and return by Monday or via e-mail next week. We need at least 15 people to get the group rate. The cost is $80.00/per person and includes skiing/snow boarding, rentals, snow tubing, overnight accommodations (sleeping on the lodge floor) and breakfast. I will need a commitment from interested Scouts and adults as soon as possible. Checks can be made payable to Troop 42.
