I know that it seems like a long way off, but planning begins early for the Philmont expeditions. As soon as April 1st, deposits will be required to secure a spot on one of our crews. Once I am certain that all Scouts from Troop 42 that want to go have signed up, I will need to fill any additional spots with Scouts from outside our Troop, therefore please note and confirm if your name appears on the following list and that you are still planning on attending Philmont in 2012. If your name is not on the list and you would like to attend, please let me know and I will add your name to the list of those going.

We can take up to 20 Scouts with 4 Adults or any combination of Scouts and Adults equaling 24, with no more than 4 Adults per crew.
Presently, the estimated cost for Philmont 2012 is $2,100 per person. This is a major commitment and requires planning and dedication by all those involved. So please let me know if there are to be changes in the Scouts planning on going.
