Carpentry Merit Badge

For Carpentry merit badge tonight I’ll need several volunteers for 4 activities;

·         Driving, clinching and pulling a spike; and setting a nail

·         Hand planes – edge, end & face – this could be 2 people

·         Bevel – record 2 angles and measure  with a protractor

·         Plumb line – measure distance to plumb bob from 2 walls

 

We need a final count of scouts for the Dec 11th carpentry day at my house.

This will allow us to order the lumber we need for all the projects. (if you don’t sign up you will have to bring your own materials for your project)

Right now we have 12 out 27 scouts signed up.

If you don’t intend to show please let me know that as well.

For the Carpentry Day on Saturday the 11th of December, the plan is to start at 10AM and run until 4PM.

Scouts will be outside ALL day, please dress accordingly.

I will send a follow up email with a list of needed materials, and tools.
