Hi Everyone,
Happy Thanksgiving, I hope everyone has a great Holiday break.
A few Troop reminders;
1.) The Court of Honor has been rescheduled for January 10, 2011. So Scouts should be working towards finishing up advancement over the next few weeks.
2.) The Carpentry Merit badge will be winding up on Sunday, December 11th at Mr. Ryan’s House. Any Scout that didn’t sign up, should contact either Mr. Ryan or me, so that we have enough supervision and material. Please try and attend, as this is likely to be the last opportunity to finish this historical merit badge up before the New Year.
3.) Scouts should get all the information into Mrs. Clark for the Pathfinder Merit Badge, as soon as possible, so that that badge can be earned prior to the New Year.
4.) The Aviation Merit Badge will continue on Friday, November 26th at the Sharon Gun Club at 7:00 with Mr. Peoples. If you cannot make that meeting, we will put together a make-up date to be announced.

5.) On Saturday, November 27th the Webelos from Pack 193 will be working on some Klondike Skills. The Den Chiefs for Webelos I and II should try and attend that training, as part of the leadership requirement, as well as any Scout from Troop 42 interested in helping. Please let me know via e-mail if any Scout is available to help the Cub Scouts.
6.) The Troop will be providing Community Service at the Holiday Festival again this year, as well as selling hot cider. The times will be announced next week, but please sign up at Monday night’s meeting.
7.) Scouts should turn in payments for dues (yes there are still a few Scouts that still owe for dues), payments for the last campout for the turkey dinner and campsite ($12.00/person), payments to the Patrol Leaders for Patrol food for all campouts.
8.) Scouts that signed up for Winter Trek in Vermont should start bringing in the payment of $80.00 for that event so that the Troop can be properly registered. Any Scout still interested in this event should sign up at Monday’s meeting.
9.) Scouts need to get the medical forms turned in. Unfortunately, if a Scout’s medical form is not in before the next Troop event, that Scout will not be allowed to attend until we have the medical form on file. I have attached the medical form for those still needing it. Presently, we only need Parts “A” and “C”, Part “B” is for long term camping and High Adventure….so please plan ahead for summer camp.
10.) Summer Camp….please leave open July 10th thru the 16th this year.
That should be about all for now, please watch your e-mails for more information on the Holiday Festival, and have a safe and happy Thanksgiving.
Y.I.S.
