Hi Everyone,
A few reminders concerning our camping trip this weekend;
1.) There is 6” – 8” of snow on the ground at the site, therefore Scouts should have proper boots and clothing to keep them warm and dry.
2.) Scouts should wear some “orange”, so that they are not thought to be a deer, as it is still hunting season for black powder.
3.) Please remember to bring 2 -3 full size water bottles, full of drinking water. We will treat any water additional water needed by boiling or with purification tablets.
4.) I am still waiting on confirmation from all the Scouts that are going, so far I have only 4 confirmed….Jacob, Ben J, Jonathan Berry, and James Sullivan. Please let me know if you are going.
5.) Scouts should make sure that they have planned for all meals, including lunch, dinner and Sunday breakfast. Saturday, we will stop on the way out for those that need to get something to eat for Breakfast.
6.) Temperatures are expected to be in “teens” at night, if needed Scouts should bring a fleece blanket or liner for their sleeping bags. Please remember to bring a ground mat, to isolate you from the snow.

7.) Please remember this is a carry in – carry out trip, Scouts will need a good backpack that can hold all their “stuff” and room enough for Troop equipment…tents, stoves, etc.
8.) We will be camping with the bears, so please be aware of proper “bear” procedures……starting with no food in tents. We will work out the other details once we arrive.
9.) The Troop will leave from the Church parking lot by 8:00 on Saturday morning and return mid-afternoon on Sunday.
Final reminder about medical forms…Scouts that do not have one on file with the Troop by Saturday, cannot attend this campout, as they are required in the event of an emergency. You only need Parts “A” and “C” to attend.
Please call with any questions you might have concerning this weekend’s trip.
See everyone on Saturday,
Y.I.S.
Mr. Jennings
